How to create a CCM configuration backup

SUMMARY

The following article provides information on how to create a backup of the Contact Center Management configuration.  This backup will include configuration items such as Employees, Agents, Agent Groups, Queues, security roles, and Call Accounting.  This backup can be used to restore the configuration on the same CCM version as it was created or higher.



INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Launch the Contact Center Client from the server or client (Start=>All Programs=>Mitel=>Contact Center Client)


  2. Login with an administrator account or one with permissions to access the Management Console


  3. If you do not see the Management toolbar, select View=>Management


  4. Click the Management button on the toolbar


  5. Click Configuration


  6. Click Back up/Restore configuration data


  7. Select Back up and click Next



    You will see a processing message as it creates the backup


  8. Click Save and select a location to save the file (Ex. on the desktop)


    NOTE: A .zip file will be created.  Inside the zip file it will contain an XML file which contains the entire configuration.
    The file size will vary depending on the amount of data that needs to be backed up, but typically will be about 1-10MB.
