Changes in MiXML server version 3.1.1.9

Article ID: 51097 - Last Review: January 12, 2011

SUMMARY

MiXML server version 3.1.1.9 has introduced two new changes which are outlined in this article.

This new version of MiXML will ship with Contact Center Management version 5.8.

WHAT ARE THE CHANGES?

  1. After MiXML is installed, it will now automatically start the service.
NOTE: The service name is called Mitel Networks XML Service
  2. A Network Interface Controller (NIC) IP address drop down has been added to the MiXML server applet in the control panel.

The MiXML service detects operational NICs on the server and the first one in the list is what MiXML tells the PBX to send data back on.  If this is not the correct NIC, the Administrator must stop the MiXML service and select another NIC from the list, then restart the service.  Going forward after that, the MiXML server will remember the last selection.

HOW DOES THIS AFFECT CCM?

The MiXML server will need to have the correct NIC selected in order to communicate with the PBX.  If the wrong NIC is selected, this will affect Telephone System Synchronization and PBX write-back.  This will be seen on servers with multiple NICs installed.

APPLIES TO

CCM version 5.8 GA
