INFORMATION

In versions 6.0 and up of the prairieFyre software the Contact Center and Call Accounting MBG Connectors replace the previously used Teleworker connector.  Using the Mitel Border Gateway (MBG) release 7.0.5.0 with the Contact Center and Call Accounting MBG Connectors home-based and remote employees can perform telephony functions without the use of a Virtual Private Network (VPN).  MBG 7.0 is an IP-based solution providing remote agents with complete access to the voice and data capabilities used by their colleagues in the contact center.  The MBG Connector allows you to use the prairieFyre software as if you were connected to the contact center network.

Mitel Border Gateway version 7.0 works with External Hot Desking, supporting up to 400 remote contact center agents.  This expands their phone compatibility to include:

  • IP phones
  • Analog phones
  • Digital phones
  • Cellular phones
  • LAN phones

NOTE: In order to be fully integrated members of the contact center team using MBG 7.0, remote agents will require:
  • A phone or USB headset (for Softphone)
  • A computer
  • A router
  • A high-speed internet connection
