Hot fix KB84570 - IQ port intermittent delayed answer

Article ID: 51738 - Last Review: December 6, 2012

IQ ports are intermittently ringing for 20 seconds before being picked up.

Logging shows the delay between the call being delivered and the port answering.

This hot fix is meant to be installed onto IQ version 5.7 SP1 FP2.

1. Download the attached KB84570.ZIP file to the IQ server.
2. Extract the KB84570.ZIP file to it's own directory.
3. Run the IQPatch.BAT file in the extracted directory.

NOTE:  Installing this hot fix will stop all IQ services.  To avoid service interruptions we recommend installing the fix after hours or during a scheduled maintenance window.

Once installed, this hotfix will add a configurable field in the Messaging Engine service config file.  To see this configuration, you can do the following:
1. Go to [Install Directory]\6160\Services\Messaging\.
2. Open the MessagingService.exe.config file in Notepad.
3. Find the entry for MIN_MITAI_THREAD="#" entry.  The value can be from 1 to 10.  We recommend leaving it as the default unless you encounter further errors.
