IVR - Transfer to External 888 number adds international prefix to number dialed

Article ID: 51943 - Last Review: May 9, 2013

PROBLEM

Your IVR callflow includes an external transfer to an 888 number, but when IVR dials it appends 011 for international dialing.

CAUSE

888 is an area code in Japan, and currently our software does not distinguish between a toll-free call and one to Japan based on the phone number.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue currently, uncheck the External box on the transfer and input the number as you would dial it.

Example: You want to transfer to 888-123-4567.  When dialing from a handset you need to dial 9 for an outside line.  In the Transfer action you put 918881234567 as the Destination.

NOTE: We are working to resolve this issue in our 6.0.2.2 release.

APPLIES TO

6.0.2.1
