Unable to use ICC commands with UCA phones

Article ID: 51950 - Last Review: May 21, 2013

PROBLEM

You are unable to issue ICC commands to a UCA phone.

SYMPTOMS

  • Issuing Interactive Contact Center commands to a UCA Phone in the Contact Center Client does not work correctly.
  • Your UCA Phones are configured as AppServer devices on the 3300.

NOTE: UCA Phones can be configured in the 3300 as either AppServer devices or 5020 IP phones.

CAUSE

The prairieFyre software does not set MiTAI monitors on AppServer devices, thus cannot issue commands via MiTAI.

RESOLUTION

To ensure compatibility, please configure your UCA Phones as 5020 IP phones in the 3300.

NOTE: As of the 5.1 UCA Documentation this is considered best practice by Mitel.

APPLIES TO

CCM All versions
