In 7.0 you will be able to use the Execute activity in a workflow to access a web service.

1. In YourSite Explorer, load the workflow you wish to add a REST Web Service call to.
2. From the toolbox on the right, drag the Execute activity to the location in your workflow that it is needed.
3. Right-click the Execute box and select New Process and Web Service.

4. Fill in the necessary information for your REST web service.
  • URI:  The address of the web service.
  • Web Service Type: Your options are SOAP or REST.
  • Username: fill in the username, if needed to access the web service.
  • Password: fill in the password, if needed to access the web service.

5. Click OK to save the activity.

NOTE: You can test your web service by filling in the Parameter and Value, then clicking Execute.  The Output Mappings will then show the value returned by the REST web service.
