PROBLEM
The MiCC server is at version 8.x and after installation has completed, you are unable to log into any applications. NOTE: This may (although rarely) occur after the server has been in operation for some time.
SYMPTOMS
The application login screen indicates: The Authentication Service was unable to authorize the user. The remote server returned an error: (503) Server unavailable.
TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST
1. Confirm that the computer name is correct in the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\prairieFyre Software Inc\CCM\Common\Computer) and correct it if it is not.
2. Confirm that the following services and application pools are started/running:
Services
- Micontact Center Configuration Manager
- MiContact Center Data Synchronization
- MiContact Center Reporter
- MiContact Center SQL Writer
- SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)
Application pools
- AuthorizationServer
- MCCWa
3. If the Windows Server version is 2008 R2, open a command prompt and run the following commands:
c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -I
